Week 9 SEC kickoff weather forecast

A tornado watch on Friday night should preclude a wet field and isolated thunderstorms Saturday morning in College Station.

Texas A&M announced Kyler Murray as the starter for the noon ET game against South Carolina at Kyle Field. Murray and Perry Orth (South Carolina) are inexperienced on the collegiate level, so potentially-windy, slippery conditions could have an interesting impact. A weather delay is not out of the question for that matchup.

Three of the evening games also feature a chance of rain.

At least SEC teams and fans won’t have to worry about overheating with the Week 9 lineup. A kickoff temperature of 77 degrees (Vandy at Houston) represents the warmest of the day.

Temperatures at Commonwealth Stadium will sink into the 50s in the first quarter, so Kentucky and Tennessee fans attending that game should prepare accordingly.

Here’s the complete Week 9 weather forecast in the SEC.
