A recap of a wild weekend of recruiting visits in the SEC:
The Raekwon Davis saga continues
Last week four-star defensive tackle Raekwon Davis flipped from Alabama to Mississippi State … then he sort of backed off that flip but not completely. This weekend Davis was supposed to visit Florida State but reportedly took an unofficial to Alabama instead.

Then reports resurfaced that Davis was flipping back to his original commitment to Alabama or sticking with it … depending on if you believed he flipped or not.
This week Davis is taking an official visit to Alabama and who knows what will happen. With this one it’s best to wait until signing day.
Not all news was bad for Mississippi State
Despite the Davis headache and losing WR target Velus Jones to Oklahoma, the Bulldogs received verbal commitments from three-star wide receivers Zach Farrar (6-4, 200, Southlake, Texas) and Jamal Couch (6-4, 215, Phenix City, Ala.). Couch was committed to Florida State at one point several months ago.

Gamecocks get immediate help at RB
South Carolina needed a quick fix at running back and received a verbal commitment from former Alabama running back Tyren Jones on Sunday. Jones will come to Columbia after a stint at Hutchinson Community College in Kansas.
Tennessee closes gap on wide receiver?
Miami commit Latrell Williams has heated up in the past month. Once a commitment to South Florida, Williams flipped to Miami when wide receivers coach Ron Dugans left South Florida for the Hurricanes. He then decided to take a visit to Tennessee where he has a good relationship with Volunteers assistant Larry Scott (former Miami interim head coach). Williams now says he’ll make a final decision between Miami and Tennessee.
Juarez has no time for favorites
Five-star linebacker Mique Juarez took his official visit to Alabama this past weekend and now the Crimson Tide are reportedly even with UCLA and Ole Miss. Juarez still has an official to BYU remaining and several coaching visits so this one is far from over.
Razorbacks take shot at top WR
Arkansas and Florida are eyeing four-star wide receiver Tyrie Cleveland, a Houston commit. The Razorbacks hosted Cleveland this weekend and it seems like his commitment to Houston is as shaky as ever going into the final days of the recruiting cycle. Florida will get Cleveland’s final visit this weekend and TCU is also in the mix.
