West Virginia fans blast Neal Brown, call for ouster after latest loss
By Keith Farner
Published:
Neal Brown is in big-time struggle mode at West Virginia, and not even changing quarterbacks could change the fortunes of the Mountaineers.
Brown benched JT Daniels in favor of Garrett Greene, but WVU still fell to Kansas State on Saturday, 48-31.
West Virginia (4-7, 2-6) failed to become bowl eligible for the second time under Brown and for only the fourth time since 2000.
It could be the final home game for Brown, who has a 21-25 record with 4 years remaining on his contract. It’s been a season of turnover already as Athletics Director Shane Lyons was fired last week.
Here’s the reaction:
No reason to go for 2 there. Fire Neal brown. Now a 3 score game still

Your starting cornerback is apparently entering the portal. You can’t retain any young talent. You can’t consistently win. You didn’t have the balls to go for a hair inch to beat a rival. Neal Brown is a dork. He shouldn’t be the head coach in 2023.

It time for Neal brown to pack his bags #FireNealBrown

Hope this is the last time Neal Brown and the entire staff coach a game in Morgantown. Absolutely embarrassing and NB and staff have ruined the WVU brand.

From 1999-2008, @WVUfootball finished with a losing season 3 times. After this season, we will have 3 losing seasons in 4 years with Neal Brown. This isn’t Mountaineer Football. I haven’t seen morale this low in my 34 years on this Earth. Morgantown isn’t electric on game days.
