As expected, Alabama took care of business against Cadillac Williams and Auburn, winning the Iron Bowl, 49-27.
Despite the loss, it’s obvious to see the impact Williams has had on the Auburn football program. The former Tigers running back led Auburn to a 2-2 record in his time as interim head coach, almost downing Mississippi State but falling in overtime.
That’s what Williams is most proud about. He’s noticed a change in the attitude towards the program over the past month following the coaching change when Bryan Harsin was fired at the end of October.
Auburn interim HC Cadillac Williams on the turnaround in the final month of the season: “Guys are in class, treating people with respect… To hear the academic people come in and say, ‘Man, they’re like different kids.’ That’s been the best part of this, to be honest with you.”

Auburn interim HC Cadillac Williams: “I saw kids that were broken. I saw kids that needed help. The opportunity to get to serve them and see, wow, how they’ve opened their heart, how they’ve done a 180, how they’ve started believing.”

Williams also noted that the process has made him a better person.
Auburn interim HC Cadillac Williams: “Through this process, this made me a better person, husband, father and friend. It’s just powerful when you get people believing and serving and making it about each other.”
