Florida and Michigan have been locked in a back-and-forth battle through the first two quarters of the Peach Bowl.

The Wolverines are missing key players on both sides of the ball, but are still playing stingy defense and giving the Gators all they can handle.

As he left the field at halftime, UF head coach Dan Mullen stopped for a quick chat with ESPN sideline reporter Allison Williams, who asked what was better about Florida’s red zone execution. The Gators lead 13-10 after a rushing touchdown from QB Feleipe Franks.

“We put ourselves in good situations,” Mullen said. “We just missed a block or two. That’s what’s really disappointing. We should really be up a couple scores right here if we just scored TDs in the red zone. It hurt us a little bit early last game. We have to be better in the red zone here in the second half.”

He was also asked for an assessment of which team has the momentum.

“Well, there’s a lot of time still to play,” Mullen said. “We got to execute. It’s going to be a four quarter game. We got to come out execute in the middle part of the field and when we get down there in the red zone, we got to make the plays to finish drives.”

UF will receive the second half kickoff.
