The weekly SEC Coaches Teleconference kicked off Wednesday with the man of the hour, or at least the man of about four hours on Saturday.

Coming off a huge Tiger Bowl win, LSU coach Ed Orgeron was asked questions about the Auburn game and also offered some progress reports on a few players and position groups.

On how nervous he was on Saturday:

  • I was fine, I knew we were going to make the kick. I can’t tell you that’s how I’ve felt my entire career, but that’s how I felt on Saturday.

On TE Thaddeus Moss (Randy Moss’ son):

  • He looks like he will be able to play, I think he will play. We need tight ends, looking forward to seeing him play on Saturday.

On what he has learned about his team:

  •  We have grit. We have toughness, leadership. Being able to focus on the task at hand.

On the progress of the offensive line:

  • Night and day for the Auburn game. We struggled against Southeastern Louisiana, but we switched some things up and they played fantastic against Auburn.

On whether the offensive playbook continue to be expanded:

  • Yes. I’m glad that we are continuing to grow. We are finding out what our guys can do. We are trying to be more spread but we were a power team and that’s a tough transition. We continue to find out what our guys can do.
