What Kirby Smart said after Georgia’s blowout win over Ball State

Kirby Smart and Georgia are now 2-0 in the 2023 football season after a 45-3 win over Ball State at Sanford Stadium on Saturday.

Carson Beck was 23-of-30 for 283 yards, throwing 2 touchdowns and an interception. He connected with 12 different receivers, with Arian Smith and Oscar Delp each with a game-high 50 yards on 2 catches. Cash Jones and Marcus Rosemy-Jacksaint both had touchdown catches.

The key to this one was a big 2nd quarter, one that saw the Bulldogs come away with 3 interceptions of Ball State quarterback Kadin Semonza. The Cardinals were held to just 4-of-15 on 3rd downs and managed just 147 yards on 37 pass attempts.

Georgia has now scored 93 points in its 1st 2 games. It now turns its attention to a Week 3 contest against South Carolina, its 1st SEC game of the season.
