Here’s what Florida coach Jim McElwain said following his Gators’ 28-27 win over the Vols on Saturday.
On Will Grier: “For the most part, he persevered a lot, scrambled around a little bit but stayed in the moment, and I was proud of that.”
On the players gutsy performance: “You know, you just don’t lose to Tennessee, and they didn’t. I don’t know if we deserved it or not, but I sure like it this way than the other way. It was pretty cool, wasn’t it?”
On what went into the confidence to call those fourth downs: “I didn’t like punting. I don’t know.”
