Tennessee coach Butch Jones spoke at the Knoxville Quarterback Club on Monday, and here are some of the notable things he had to say coming off a 53-28 win over Vanderbilt. The Vols ended the regular season on a five-game winning streak.
Now at 8-4 on the season, Jones was asked about his thoughts on where his team will go bowling.

In the wake of Georgia coach Mark Richt stepping down, it was brought to Jones’ attention that he’s now the longest-tenured coach in the conference and was asked to give his thoughts on that.
Jones asked about the fact that he's now the longest tenured coach in the SEC East. Said it's unfortunate.

Jones mentioned that his staff will be on the recruiting trail all week long.
Jones says all of his assistants are on the road recruiting and won't be back until Friday.

Jones is extremely happy with how far his offense has come this season. The Vols went for 523 total yards of offense against a stout Vanderbilt defense on Saturday, its highest production of the season since the 604 yards the team posted against Bowling Green in the opener.

Jones spent a great deal of time talking about the success of the special teams this season. Aside from leading the FBS in yards per kickoff return (33.4), the Vols were also 2nd in the SEC in three other areas: average yards per punt return, average yards per punt and opponent yards per kick return.
