What Zach Arnett said following Mississippi State’s loss against Auburn

The offense once again was abysmal for Mississippi State on Saturday, as the Bulldogs lost to Auburn, 27-13.
The Bulldogs rushed for 186 yards as a team, but didn’t get into the endzone until the final quarter when the game was out of reach. After a 2-0 start, Mississippi State has lost 4 of its last 6 games.
Coach Zach Arnett talked about the first half defensive struggles as well as well as the team lacking intensity to start the game.
Zach Arnett on defense: "We didn't stop anything that first half. We didn't stop the run or pass. You aren't going to win a football game playing a half of complimentary football."

Zach Arnett:
"I think we lacked a little intensity coming out…I didn't see a team who was flying around with their hair on fire, which is more disappointing than anything."

While things aren’t going well right now for Mississippi State, the Bulldogs still have a chance to make a bowl. The Bulldogs have to win 2 of their last 4 games to make a bowl. The final 4 teams on the schedule for Mississippi State are Kentucky, at Texas A&M, and then 2 home games to close the season against Southern Mississippi and Ole Miss.
The start for a bowl berth begins next week at home against Kentucky, and that game will kickoff at 7:30 pm ET on the SEC Network.
