As (presumably) every college football fan is aware, Alabama’s Tua Tagovailoa did not play on Saturday. He’s still the No. 1 QB in the country, according to ESPN’s Total Quarterback Ratings.

In the post-Week 9 ratings, LSU’s Joe Burrow is No. 4 nationally and No. 2 in the SEC. While ESPN lists 14 quarterbacks among the SEC leaders, there is no Kentucky quarterback. Lynn Bowden Jr. is carrying the Wildcats at QB, but he’s not registering on ESPN’s Total QB Ratings. Two Ole Miss quarterbacks – John Rhys Plumlee and Matt Corral – make the list, making it 14 QBs representing the 14-team conference.

Here’s a look at the SEC quarterbacks with the best Total QBR at this point in the season (with overall rankings in parentheses):

  1. Tua Tagovailoa, Alabama, 95.6 (1)
  2. Joe Burrow, LSU, 91.4 (4)
  3. Kyle Trask, Florida, 80.3 (9)
  4. Kelln Mond, Texas A&M, 76.8 (16)
  5. Jake Fromm, Georgia, 73.5 (24)
  6. Garrett Shrader, Mississippi State, 70.3 (39)
  7. Jarrett Guarantano, Tennessee, 64.8 (52)
  8. John Rhys Plumlee, Ole Miss, 64.1 (56)
  9. Kelly Bryant, Missouri, 62.8 (60)
  10. Bo Nix, Auburn, 59.5 (70)
  11. Ryan Hilinski, South Carolina, 55.2 (79)
  12. Matt Corral, Ole Miss, 49.7 (90)
  13. Nick Starkel, Arkansas, 44.2 (104)
  14. Riley Neal, Vanderbilt, 35.5 (112)
