As Week 13 of college football rapidly approaches, where do teams stand following Week 12?
Tennessee’s College Football Playoff hopes came to a screeching halt following its 63-38 loss to South Carolina in Williams Brice Stadium Saturday evening. The Volunteers, which entered the weekend ranked No. 5, now will fight to play for a New Year’s 6 Bowl bid without star quarterback Hendon Hooker.
With the Volunteers falling in Columbia, LSU moves up in CBS Sports’ rankings entering rivalry week. The Tigers could become the first 2-loss program to make the College Football Playoff should they find a way to upset No. 1 Georgia next Saturday in Atlanta.

Rivalry Week will kick off Thanksgiving night when Ole Miss plays host to Mississippi State in the Egg Bowl. Tennessee will face red-hot Vanderbilt in Nashville while Arkansas will travel to the “Show Me State” to take on Mizzou.
Alabama will play host to Auburn in the Iron Bowl while LSU travels to College Station to take on Texas A&M. Georgia, Kentucky, Florida and South Carolina will face their ACC in-state rivals in Georgia Tech, Louisville, Florida State and Clemson, respectively.
