The dead period is in the rear-view mirror and many SEC programs will have a busy weekend of official visitors. Here’s a look at the schools that are expecting recruits to come on campus for the weekend:

Alabama: At least one Florida State commitment will be in Tuscaloosa this weekend — four-star running back Amir Rasul. Another FSU commit Baveon Johnson is also expected on campus after canceling his visit earlier in the week but telling Corey Bender from Scout.com and Chris Nee from 247Sports that he decided to go anyway. Johnson has become good friends with Alabama commit Kendell “Hulk” Jones since their participation in the Under Armour All-America Game.

Four-star wide receivers Kevin Gavin and Drake Davis (LSU commit) are among the 15 players expected on campus.

Auburn: Big visit weekend for Auburn as the Tigers coaching staff will host nearly a dozen visitors, including five commitments. The big prospect scheduled to take his official visit is five-star defensive tackle Derrick Brown.

Among the other top uncommitted prospects who will be on campus include four-star wide receiver Nate Craig-Myers and his brother, four-star defensive back Jayvaughn Myers.

Florida: A couple of blue-chip offensive linemen are scheduled to take a trip to The Swamp this weekend. Four-star tackle Landon Dickerson (Hudson, N.C.) and four-star guard John Simpson (North Charleston, S.C.) are expected to be on campus.

Georgia: Only seven expected official visitors this weekend, but the Bulldogs will make their full pitch to the top outside linebacker in the nation, Lyndell “Mack” Wilson. The five-star prospect is down to Florida, Georgia and Alabama and will visit Alabama next weekend. Four-star defensive end Brian Burns will also be on campus. Four-star wide receiver Tre Nixon will be taking an official to Georgia — his first official. Watch for Auburn to also get an official from Nixon.

LSU: Eight of the expected 15 visitors to LSU are commitments, so expect them to help coaches put a full-court press on five-star defensive tackle Rashard Lawrence. Lawrence is expected to make his final decision between LSU and Ohio State in the next week. Another big in-state prospect, four-star defensive back Kristian Fulton, is also expected to be on campus for his official visit. Arkansas and Florida is also expected to get official visits from Fulton before he makes a decision.

Mississippi State: 13 expected visitors to Starkville this weekend with five commitments. Among the other expected visitors is four-star defensive tackle Raekwon Davis (Alabama commit), who is also expected to take official visits to Florida State (1/22) and Alabama (1/29). Can the Bulldogs make a good pitch to sway Davis to his home state? Other visitors include four-star wide receiver Kobe Jones, who is from Starkville and four-star defensive end Jeffrey Simmons, another in-state prospect from Macon, Mississippi.

South Carolina: New head coach Will Muschamp is expected to host as many as 18 prospects this weekend. Nine are already committed and will get a first-hand look at the way Muschamp will run things in Columbia. One of the more interesting visitors is four-star wide receiver Sam Bruce. Bruce, a Miami commit, has been rumored to be open to going elsewhere, especially now that the Hurricanes didn’t retain wide receivers coach Kevin Beard.

Tennessee: Four-star wide receiver Binjimen Victor (Pompano Beach, Fla.) and four-star athlete Marquez Callaway (Warner Robins, Ga.) are among the eight visitors expected to take officials to Tennessee this weekend. This will be Callaway’s third documented visit to the Tennessee campus. He is expected to take official visits to Mississippi State (Jan. 22) and Ole Miss (Jan. 29) as well.

Texas A&M: Light visitors weekend for the Aggies staff ,but the name that really stands out is uncommitted four-star offensive lineman Jauan Williams. Florida State has been the favorite for the 6-foot-7 prospect from Washington, D.C., but the Aggies were a late offer and got an immediate official visit. Auburn is also a potential spot for Williams to visit before signing day. Also running back D’Vaughn Pennamon, an Ole Miss commit, is an expected official visitor this weekend.
