Whit Weeks currently ‘doubtful’ to return for Texas A&M game, per LSU
With its back against the wall this weekend, LSU will need all the help it can get when undefeated Texas A&M visits Death Valley on Saturday night.
But unfortunately for the Tigers, they will likely still be without the services of star linebacker Whit Weeks, who was listed as ‘doubtful’ on the team’s Wednesday-night availability report.

Weeks fractured his ankle during the 2024 Texas Bowl against Baylor and re-aggravated it during his team’s loss to Ole Miss on Sept. 27.

Weeks missed LSU’s 34-24 loss to Vanderbilt last Saturday, a game in which the Tigers gave up 399 total yards of offense to the Commodores. A whopping 239 of those yards came via the ground, and the Aggies arrive in Baton Rouge averaging just under 200 rushing yards per contest. Thus, LSU’s defensive depth will be tested yet again.
The junior linebacker was seen wearing a walking boot during the Vandy game and has still been labeled “non-weight bearing” by head coach Brian Kelly.
On the season, Weeks has recorded 26 total tackles, a sack and a fumble recovery through five games played.
Without its veteran linebacker for another marquee matchup, LSU will host Texas A&M at 7:30 p.m. ET on Saturday, with the game being broadcast by ABC.
