Wildens Leveque, a South Carolina forward who started 28 games for the Gamecocks this past season, entered the NCAA transfer portal after the year ended.
Now, the 6-11 forward is drawing plenty of interest on the open market.
Per college basketball insider Jon Rothstein, a pair of SEC teams — Mizzou and Texas A&M — are among those to have reached out to Leveque through the portal:
South Carolina transfer Wildens Leveque is receiving interest from the following programs, per his advisor Tom Nelson:
UMass
Missouri
Boston College
Clemson
Temple
Northwestern
Notre Dame
Texas A&M— Jon Rothstein (@JonRothstein) March 31, 2022
Interestingly, UMass is also a team that has reached out. That’s where former South Carolina coach Frank Martin ended up this offseason. Boston College, Clemson, Temple, Northwestern and Notre Dame are also interested in Leveque.
Leveque appeared in 29 games for the Gamecocks in 2021-22, making 28 starts. He averaged 6.6 points, 4.7 rebounds and 1.1 blocks per contest.
