Will Campbell confirmed the news on Tuesday that every LSU fan was bracing for. The star offensive lineman for the Tigers is officially heading to the 2025 NFL Draft after 3 impressive seasons in Baton Rouge.
Originally a 4-star prospect and one of the top players from Louisiana in the 2022 recruiting class, Campbell made an immediate impact for LSU. He started at left tackle for all 13 games in the 2022 season and never looked back.
Across his 3 seasons with the Tigers, Campbell was the starting left tackle each year and is a finalist for this year’s Lombardi Award. It’s possible the 6-foot-6 and 323-pound Campbell becomes the first tackle selected in the draft as he is one of the top prospects to confirm at this point in the process.
“To Tiger Nation, thank you for your love, support and unmatched traditions,” wrote Campbell in his note on social media. “Running out of the tunnel in Death Valley is something that can’t be explained. Thank you for being the best fans in the world.”

While the move was certainly expected after Campbell’s impressive career, it leaves the Tigers in need of replacing a massive piece on the offensive line heading into 2025. It’s also possible Campbell will not be the only one making the move, so Brian Kelly will have his hands full in the offseason.
