Will Ignont is reuniting with Tyson Helton.
Helton, Tennessee’s former offensive coordinator, is now the head coach at Western Kentucky and improved the program’s record from 3-9 to 9-4 in his first season on the job.
Now Helton has brought in a former Volunteer defender to help his WKU defense as Ignont has officially landed with the Hilltoppers.
This is a nice pickup for Western Kentucky, as Ignont has some starting experience in the SEC and has two years to play for the program. He signed with Tennessee out of Huntsville, Ala., as a four-star prospect.
During his college career, Ignont has racked up 68 total tackles for the Vols.
Ignont shared the news on social media with the following caption and photo:
“Made it through with a few scratches, I promise my story true..”
