Will Levis explains how he’s building a leadership role with Kentucky football

Kentucky’s Will Levis has been named as the starting quarterback with just a few weeks left until the start of the college football season for the Wildcats.
The 6-3 graduate transfer from Penn State in his career with the Nittany Lions had 644 yards passing and 3 touchdowns through the air. He also had success running the ball as well with with 473 yards rushing and 6 touchdowns in his career at Penn State.
Coach Mark Stoops on Sunday named him the starting quarterback after a competition with Joey Gatewood and Beau Allen. Levis shared how he’s transitioning to being the starting quarterback in an interview with BBN Tonight.

“Obviously being a quarterback you have to be a leader whether you like it or not,” Levis said. “One thing that you need to understand is that you can’t be the same leader to every person. Some guys are gonna take criticism or they’re gonna be effectively lead differently than other guys. Along with me getting to know everybody; because I knew that I was gonna have to be a leader for this team. I had to slowly connect and get through each person as effectively as possible. I’m still kind of in the process of doing that, but it’s been really fun figuring that out.”
Kentucky finished last season with a 5-6 record that got the Wildcats to the Gator Bowl against NC State where they won 23-21.
With Levis’ leadership on and off the field, it could mean some more success in football for UK.
