Will Levis’ injury status for Kentucky-South Carolina game updated, per report

Will Levis and Kentucky are at home on Saturday to face South Carolina in Lexington.
In the Wildcats’ loss to Ole Miss on Oct. 1, the Wildcats quarterback dislocated his finger and suffered what was later ruled a “lower-leg injury”. During the week, he was spotted with a boot on an injured foot.
According to ESPN’s Chris Low, the foot injury has made Levis a game-time decision against the Gamecocks.
“Sources told ESPN that Levis’ foot injury had improved each day this week and that he wanted to play, but getting back to a point where he could play effectively in a game may prove difficult,” Low reported. “He’s expected to dress out and go through pregame warmups.”
If Levis is unable to play, head coach Mark Stoops will turn to backup quarterback Kaiya Sheron. Sheron is a redshirt freshman and a former 3-star prospect.
Thus far in 2022, Levis has completed 68.8 percent of his passes, thrown 12 touchdowns and 4 interceptions and, as Low notes, has suffered 19 sacks. He was 18-of-24 for 220 yards, 2 touchdowns, and 0 picks against the Rebels.
South Carolina and Kentucky kick off at 7:30 p.m. on the SEC Network.
