The Big Spur reported Monday night that the redshirt junior receiver intends to enroll in grad school at North Carolina A&T, citing an Instagram post that showed him applying there.
Smith started in the season opener against Vanderbilt but has rarely played since then. He has no receptions this year.
Smith has played all over the field and on both sides of the ball during his career with the Gamecocks, most recently as a special-teamer in 2015. He moved back to receiver this season under Muschamp.
