The South Carolina Gamecocks have had bad luck with injuries this year, with star WR Deebo Samuel suffering a broken leg earlier this year.

Now, the news is bad for redshirt junior TE K.C. Crosby, who left Saturday’s win over Arkansas with an injury.

According to coach Will Muschamp, Crosby broke the same bone that Samuel did and will now miss the rest of the 2017 season:

Crosby wasn’t quite the pass catcher that Samuel was, recording only two catches for 11 yards so far this season.

Still, the junior’s presence will be missed, as his 6-1, 245-pound frame was ideal for run blocking.

Ahead of a game at Neyland Stadium against the struggling Tennessee Volunteers, Crosby’s absence will be felt next weekend and into the future.
