South Carolina coach Will Muschamp provided an update on LB Skai Moore, discussing both his short-term and long-term plans.

Moore, who missed the 2016 season after having surgery on a herniated disk, has been cleared for weight lifting and non-contact activities. While everything is healing well according to Muschamp, Moore will not be taking part in bowl prep practices.

“He’s been cleared for non-contact, but we’re not going to practice him right now,” Muschamp said. “He was cleared about a month ago to lift, and he’s been working hard and looking forward to get back.”

Moore was All-SEC second team in 2015 and the team’s leading tackler (260) for the three seasons prior to 2016. Muschamp confirmed that the talented linebacker plans to be back in 2017.

Moore is expected to be back for spring practice.
