The South Carolina Gamecocks have had their fair share of bad news when it comes to injuries this summer.
On Saturday, another player went down, but fortunately, it sounds like he’ll be able to return relatively soon.
According to coach Will Muschamp, freshman OL Wyatt Campbell had a scope on his meniscus and will be out about a month:
Muschamp: Wyatt Campbell had a scope on his meniscus. He may be out a month or so. Injury from high school. Lavonte Valentine will be out a couple of weeks.

Campbell was a 3-star recruit in the class of 2018. Per the 247Sports composite, Campbell was the No. 78 offensive tackle in the class of 2018 and the No. 17 overall recruit in the state of South Carolina.
The Gamecocks have several experienced offensive linemen returning to the squad, but losing the depth Campbell would provide early in the season still isn’t great news.
