Heading into Saturday’s season opener in Charlotte against North Carolina, the news is mostly positive on the injury front for South Carolina.
Keir Thomas is the only player who has been added to the injury report this week. Fourth-year head coach Will Muschamp announced Tuesday that Thomas, who is dealing with an ankle issue, is out for the game. On his Thursday radio show, he said Thomas is the only newly confirmed Week 1 absence.

“There are a couple of game-time decisions, but I feel good about (redshirt senior defensive back) J.T. Ibe and (redshirt junior wide receiver) Randrecous Davis,” Muschamp said on his ‘Carolina Calls’ radio show, per 247Sports. “I feel good about where we are.”
Three Gamecocks players were previously announced as out for the 2019 season: S Jaylin Dickerson (hip), TE Kiel Pollard (neck) and DL Devontae Davis (foot).
Kickoff is set for 3:30 p.m. ET from Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte, home of the Carolina Panthers. The game will air on ESPN.
