Will Norman, a notable recruit and 4-star defensive lineman out of Bradenton, Florida (IMG Academy), has narrowed his list to 5 finalists.
Three SEC teams made the cut, as Norman named Florida, LSU, Texas A&M, Penn State and Michigan as his 5 finalists out of 23 offers. Norman is the No. 11 defensive lineman in the class of 2023, and the No. 19 player in the country, according to the 247Sports Composite. He’s listed at 6-foot-5 and 290 pounds.
In July, Norman, a native of Camden, N.J., and a converted basketball player, was slated to play 2 seasons ago at Woodrow Wilson in Camden but moved a little south to Woodbury, N.J. That led to an offseason move to St. Thomas More and ultimately down to IMG Academy.
On3 Sports’ Chad Simmons explained how the Norman recruitment is going:
“Florida has really made a big move with Norman this spring. The Gators are one of three that have “separated” from the pack one source has said. Two others are LSU and Texas A&M. He is familiar with Jimbo Fisher and College Station, but he is still working on his first visit to Baton Rouge. A sleeper in this race is Clemson. If the Tigers offer, Norman will take a strong look, but for now, Norman’s trending towards the SEC.”
