Will Reichard drills last-second kick, helps No. 1 Alabama avoid upset at Texas
Alabama got all it wanted from Texas on Saturday, but the top-ranked Crimson Tide was able to hang on for the win.
Bryce Young was sensational in the 4th quarter and Will Reichard’s 33-yard field goal with 10 seconds to play in the game was enough to secure Alabama’s 20-19 win in Austin.

Alabama had entered the game as nearly a 3-touchdown favorite but the contest was close throughout.
Texas took a 19-17 lead with 1:29 to play thanks to a 49-yard field goal by Bert Auburn.
But Young responded with a masterful 9-play, 61-yard drive to set up Reichard’s game-winning boot.
Will Alabama still be No. 1 in the polls next week after a subpar performance?
That remains to be seen, but at the end of the day the Crimson Tide still got the win.
