On Saturday, news broke that Wisconsin had pulled a scholarship from 3-star 2018 QB Ben Bryant, who had tweeted about an offer he received from Georgia the day before.

Though he’d been committed to the Badgers since December, his loyalty was called into question and the Wisconsin coaches decided they no longer had a place for Bryant.

On Saturday night, Bryant released a statement on Twitter about the scholarship situation, saying it had been one of the worst days of his life:

Yes, trust is sacred, but this is still a ridiculous move from Wisconsin. For instance, head coach Paul Chryst has made 13 different stops during his coaching career, including bolting from Pitt when the Badgers came calling with a better offer in 2015.

Loyalty, indeed.

High school recruits are sure to take note of how Wisconsin treated Bryant and the Badgers could find themselves with a weaker 2018 class because of this ridiculous situation.
