WKU blasts music in practice to simulate crowd noise at Bryant-Denny Stadium

Western Kentucky is doing all it can to prepare for the hostile environment of Bryant-Denny Stadium before its matchup against Alabama. On Tuesday, the team cranked up its speakers to simulate the crowd noise for Saturday’s game.

While there’s nothing wrong with blasting some AC/DC to get a team fired up, this tactic kind of misses the mark. Sure, those songs will likely be in rotation at Bryant-Denny to hype up the crowd, but that doesn’t account for the actual crowd noise itself.

Perhaps the Hilltoppers should be more worried about the Tide’s offense and defense after a 52-6 win over USC in Week 1 instead of the ambience of the stadium.
