Wyoming and Kent State offered college football fans another entertaining bowl matchup on Tuesday afternoon, and immediately fans and media weighed in on the striking color contrast between the teams.
Since the Potato Bowl was played on Boise State’s blue turf, that added another layer to the interesting display. The colors were given mixed reviews as some loved it, and others were not fans, and wondered if their television settings could handle the contrasts.
Some called it the Yellow Pants Bowl.
Here’s a sampling of the reaction:
Wyoming-Kent State on the blue turf is the uniform/field combination I never knew I needed but am so glad we as a society get to enjoy. pic.twitter.com/5Caw7Ou8xI

What a horribly glorious mess of colors on my TV right now. Kent State yellows and Wyoming Brown/Yellow all on the Smurf Turf. This is pushing my TV to its breaking point.

Kent State/Wyoming is a surprisingly fun uniform matchup. Lots of yellow looks good on the Smurf Turf.
