Xavier Restrepo is now the all-time leading receiver in Miami football history.

Restrepo passed the great Santana Moss on Saturday for the honor. Moss starred for the Hurricanes from 1997-2000, meaning his record stood for nearly a quarter century before Restrepo took the top spot this week. Moss collected 2,547 receiving yards during his historic career with the Hurricanes.

Here’s the play that broke the record — a 66-yard touchdown catch to extend Miami’s lead to 15 points midway through the 4th quarter:

Restrepo’s big play but Miami’s lead out of reach for the Blue Devils. What began as a tough game for Miami turned into a blowout in the win. The Canes trailed 28-17 in the second half, but ended up winning by a comfortable margin of 22 points.

Restrepo finished the game with 8 catches for 146 yards and 3 touchdowns. As has been the case throughout his career at Miami, Duke’s defense had no answers for him downfield.

This is Restrepo’s fifth year at Miami, although the vast majority of his production has come in the last 2 seasons. He didn’t produce a 400-yard campaign until 2023, but now looks like he’s on his way to a second consecutive 1,000-yard campaign.

Miami will look to move to 10-0 next weekend against Georgia Tech.
