Zach Calzada getting crushed on Twitter after sloppy play in relief of Haynes King
Zach Calzada, Texas A&M’s backup QB, was called into duty Saturday after starting quarterback Haynes King went down with a leg injury in the first quarter of the Aggies’ game with Colorado.
It was a tough first half Jimbo Fisher’s team, which went to the locker room trailing 7-3, and things weren’t much better for the 6-4, 210-pound sophomore Calzada, who was just 6-of-15 through the air for 44 yards in the opening 30 minutes.
Here are some brutal assessments on Twitter of Calzada’s play in the first half, which clearly didn’t inspire much faith from Aggies fans.

Haynes King with one leg is better than Zach Calzada.

Can Calzada turn things around in the second half?
He’ll need to if the 5th-ranked Aggies hope to maintain their top-5 ranking.
