Andrew Fischer completed the trifecta of first-round picks off Tennessee‘s 2025 roster. The Milwaukee Brewers drafted Fischer as a 3rd baseman with the No. 20 overall pick.
Liam Doyle and Gavin Kilen were the first 2 Vols taken on Sunday night. Tony Vitello also saw multiple signees go in Round 1.
Fischer gives the Brew Crew an impact bat that’s likely to contribute at the big-league level sooner rather than later.

Fischer spent his 3-year college career with 3 programs. He played for Duke in 2023 before transferring to Ole Miss for 2024 and landing at Tennessee for 2025, his 3rd and final season.
With the Vols, Fischer tied Tennessee’s single-season record with 63 walks and led the SEC with 25 home runs. He started all 65 games in UT’s 2025, and reached base safely in all of them.
Fischer finished the season slashing .341/.497/.760. Over 217 at-bats, Fischer collected 74 hits, 16 doubles, 25 home runs, 63 walks and 65 RBIs. A first-team All-American as a 1st baseman, Fischer posted a .988 fielding percentage this season.
