Jac Caglianone launches first AAA homer as he continues push for MLB debut
Jac Caglianone hit another major milestone on Thursday as he continues his pro career.
The former Florida star hit his first AAA home run, sending a ball 410 feet over the right field wall to tie the game at 3-3. The ball left his bat at 113.6 miles per hour.
Here’s a clip of the blast:

This was just Caglianone’s third game at the AAA level. He earned a promotion after spending just 38 games with AA in the Kansas City Royals organization. Over those 38 games, he slashed .322/.394./553 and hit 9 home runs.
It’s been an extremely strong season for Caglianone, who did struggle at times in his pro debut a year ago. He began the year at AA despite hitting just .241 in High-A to close out the 2024 season last summer.
It’s possible Caglianone will find himself in Kansas City before the end of the 2025 season. The Royals are competitive, but their lineup has struggled this season — particularly with outfield production. They may look to Caglianone sooner rather than later as a potential solution for an offense that’s 26th in runs scored so far this season.
