Livvy Dunne, like many other baseball fans, was hoping to see more of Paul Skenes on Tuesday night.

The ex-LSU gymnast and boyfriend of Skenes took to social media to ask for another inning for the NL starter in the All-Star Game. Dunne has more than 190,000 followers on X (formerly Twitter), but the post did not sway Los Angeles Dodgers manager Dave Roberts. He pulled Skenes after 1 perfect inning for Clayton Kershaw.

Though brief, Skenes impressed in his 2nd All-Star Game, drawing strong reactions on social media. The Pittsburgh Pirates star became the youngest pitcher to ever start back-to-back All-Star Games, getting the 2nd nod at age 23.

Skenes has been fantastic on the mound this year, but it has been a frustrating year for his team. In 20 starts, Skenes has a 2.01 ERA and 0.93 WHIP over 121 innings, with a strikeout-to-walk ratio of 131-30. Despite those numbers, his record is just 4-8 as the Pirates are 39-58 on the season.

Dunne was recently in the headlines for a baseball-adjacent story. She revealed to her social media followers that she a co-op board did not let her buy an apartment that formerly belonged to Babe Ruth. Dunne, who had the cash to make the purchase, jokingly wondered if they were Alabama fans denying her because she went to LSU.
