Alabama is where Tua Tagovailoa and Jaylen Waddle first played together during their college days, but now they are teammates in Miami. During the Dolphins game on Sunday against the Atlanta Falcons, the duo did what they did often in Tuscaloosa all those years ago.
With Miami already leading 17-3, Tagovailoa and Waddle connected on a 43-yard touchdown to extend their lead over the Falcons:
Tagovailoa played at Alabama from 2017-2019, with his biggest moment being when he came in the national championship and completed a 2nd and 26 in overtime to give the Crimson Tide a win over Georgia. He finished his Crimson Tide career with 7,442 yards, 87 touchdowns and only 11 interceptions.
Waddle played in Tuscaloosa from 2018-2020, and he finished his college career with 106 catches, 1,999 yards and 17 touchdowns.

Waddle was known as a big-play guy in Alabama, and he has started to get back to being that type of player for the Dolphins. Entering October, he had only three NFL touchdowns of at least 43 yards. However, with the score on Sunday, he now has two such plays this month.
The Dolphins aren’t winning quite like the duo was used to during their time together in Tuscaloosa, but they showed on Sunday they are still more than capable of making magic on the football field together.
