Harrison Mevis had fans everywhere asking, “what was that?” on Sunday evening, and it wasn’t just for his play on the field in the Los Angeles Rams’ thrilling win over the Chicago Bears.
Mevis was one of the Rams players interviewed after the game by Melissa Stark. When he answered a question, Mevis became impossible to understand.

According to Awful Announcing, the audio effect was likely a way to censor Mevis on live TV.
Sunday’s NFC Divisional Game featured plenty of twists and turns. In overtime, it all came down to Mevis. With 3:24 remaining, Mevis delivered the game-winner from 42 yards out.
It has been a whirlwind year for Mevis. The former All-SEC kicker at Mizzou went pro in 2024.
Mevis was waived by the Carolina Panthers in 2024 before the regular season. He then landed an opportunity with the Birmingham Stallions of the UFL.
After a standout UFL season in the spring of 2025, Mevis was back in the NFL with the New York Jets. With the Jets, however, Mevis only spent time on the practice squad before a September release. He signed with the Rams on Nov. 5 and made his NFL debut days later.
Now, Mevis is 1 game away from kicking in a Super Bowl.
