Eli Manning famously beat Tom Brady in 2 iconic Super Bowls, including the one that prevented Brady’s New England Patriots from capping off a perfect 19-0 season.
Losses to Eli’s New York Giants aside, Peyton Manning also had some incredible postseason duels with Brady’s Patriots, both while he was with the Indianapolis Colts and Denver Broncos.
Appearing on Julian Edelan’s new podcast, “Games with Names,” produced by Edelman’s Coast Productions and Superdigital, Eli Manning joked that Brady must hate Peyton and Eli’s mom:
“[Tom Brady] hates us. He hates my mom,” Manning joked. “If it weren’t for Olivia Manning, Tom would have like 12 Super Bowls probably.”
Of course, Brady has done just fine for himself during his career, as he is the proud owner of 7 Super Bowl rings (6 with the Patriots, 1 with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers).
But, you can bet that a fierce competitor like Brady still thinks about those 2 Super Bowl losses to Eli’s Giants and some tough defeats at the hands of Peyton’s teams from time to time.
