We all know that if the Eagles get into a short-yardage situation, the Tush Push is coming out. Well, in Thursday night’s game against the New York Giants, the Eagles found themselves in a third-and-1 at the Giants’ 4-yard line.

As one could guess, the Eagles ran the Tush Push in search of a first down. They were stuffed and proceeded to run the tush push 3 more times until they finally got into the end zone.

On Get Up Friday morning, ESPN’s Mike Greenberg apologized to the fans who had to sit and watch the sequence before launching into a diatribe about the Eagles’ go-to play.

“On behalf of the National Football League and its fans, I apologize to anyone who had to sit through this,” Greenberg said. “They’re jumping early; no one cares. It’s ridiculous, but whatever.”

Greenberg was so frustrated with the Eagles running 4 tush pushes in a row that he even said they might as well just award them the touchdown, so we don’t have to waste anybody’s time.

“Why don’t we just award them a touchdown?” Greenberg asked. “You know, they award like a walk now on 4 straight pitches just so you don’t have to waste the time sitting through this.”

NFL analyst Dan Graziano agreed with Greenberg on Get Up about his idea of just awarding them a touchdown, saying, “That’s a great idea, we don’t have to watch this garbage.”
