As the Dallas Cowboys gear up for week 4, they find themselves in a precarious position. Despite ranking third in the league for offensive yards gained just 3 weeks into the season, the road ahead may not be smooth sailing. With injuries piling up, the team is bracing for challenges that could significantly impact their performance.

One of the most significant blows comes with the news that Tyler Booker, their promising first-round pick from 2025 and starting right guard, will be sidelined for 4 to 6 weeks due to a high ankle sprain. The injury was first reported by NFL insider Ian Rappaport on Monday. Booker’s absence will undoubtedly leave a void in the trenches, as he has been a crucial component of the offensive line.

Joining him on the injured list is center Cooper Beebe, who is currently on injured reserve due to his own ankle injury. To add to Dallas’s injury woes, star wide receiver CeeDee Lamb is also set to miss multiple weeks.

In Booker’s stead, TJ Bass is set to step up. During his senior year at Alabama, Booker earned recognition as a permanent captain was named a first-team All-American by CBS and USA Today sports. He started all 13 games – 12 that left guard and one at left tackle—recording an impressive 92 knockdown blocks averaging 7.1 per game over a team leading 778 snaps while allowing just half a sack and achieving an outstanding grade of 92.3% for that season.

It looks like there are plenty of challenges ahead for Jerry’s Jones’s Cowboys, especially without a key offensive piece like Booker.
