Former Arkansas wide receiver Treylon Burks was hoping to produce a bounce-back season in 2025 after his 2024 campaign was derailed by injury. Unfortunately, he will reportedly miss the start of the campaign after yet another injury.
During Saturday’s training camp practice inside the main stadium for the Tennessee Titans, Burks delivered a beautiful, diving grab down the sideline. He came up a bit shaken from the catch, according to those in attendance, and a report has since revealed the reason why.
According to NFL insiders Ian Rapoport and Tom Pelissero, Burks suffered a broken collarbone during the collision on his highlight-reel grab. That injury is expected to keep Burks sidelined when the NFL season begins.
It’s a disappointing outcome for the former Razorback, who was limited to 5 games last season. The former first-round pick was hopeful to be healthy and develop some chemistry with new quarterback Cam Ward, the No. 1 overall pick in this year’s draft, but that will be delayed at least in part.
To this point in his career, Burks has not lived up to the hype after becoming the 18th overall pick in the 2022 NFL Draft. He has just 699 receiving yards and 1 touchdown in 17 starts (27 total appearances) across his first 3 seasons.
