Eric Stokes spent four seasons with the Green Bay Packers after being selected No. 29 overall in the 2021 NFL Draft. His time in Green Bay wasn’t up to expectation, leading the Packers to decline his fifth-year option. He signed with the Las Vegas Raiders on a one-year, $3.5 million deal last offseason. This offseason, though, he has earned his bag.

According to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, the Raiders have signed Stokes to a three-year, $30 million extension. Stokes, the former Georgia Bulldog, received $20 million guaranteed in the deal.

Las Vegas entered free agency with $121.7 million in cap space, according to OverTheCap. A chunk of that space opened up after the Maxx Crosby trade, which will facilitate the Raiders’ entire rebuilding process. Stokes will be a veteran presence on the unit while Tom Brady attempts to build Mark Davis’ team into a contender.

New head coach Klint Kubiak, barring something unforeseen, will have Fernando Mendoza as his quarterback next year. Las Vegas can select Mendoza at No. 1 overall and potentially snag a wide receiver at No. 14 overall. This swift reshaping of their offense — and retention of Stokes — likely won’t have them competing for a playoff spot in an incredibly tough AFC West in 2026, but should provide a stable foundation for the future.
