The NFL regular season is entering its final stretch heading into the back half of December, and contending teams around the league are looking to add whatever reinforcements they can as they prepare for a run at Super Bowl glory.
The resurgent Denver Broncos have once again found themselves atop the AFC after locking up their postseason invitation by defeating the Green Bay Packers this past Sunday, and they will be getting a boost to their run game in the form of former Mizzou standout Cody Schrader.

Denver announced they had officially claimed the SEC’s leading rusher from 2023 off of waivers from the Los Angeles Rams with a post on their official X account Monday evening.
Schrader, who played for Mizzou from 2022 to 2023, was an absolute star for the Tigers, racking up 2,700 total yards and 23 total touchdowns across his 2 seasons in Columbia.
His 1,627-yard 14-touchdown campaign in 2023 led to him being named a unanimous first-team All-American, and he signed with the Rams as an UDFA following the 2024 NFL Draft.
Schrader was unable to carve out a role for himself during his 2 seasons in LA, but he will now have the opportunity to make an impact on the NFL’s top teams heading into the Playoffs.
