Jakobi Meyers unleashes biggest NFL blunder in years as Patriots inexplicably lose on final play

Jakobi Meyers will not be a popular person on the New England Patriots’ plane on Sunday night.
The wide receiver inexplicably made a costly blunder and saw his lateral pass be intercepted by Chandler Jones, who stiff armed Mac Jones into the turf and scampered the distance for a touchdown to win the game in walk-off fashion. Jones ran 45 yards for the score after the play began with Rhamondre Stevenson running for 23 yards.
The loss dropped the Patriots to 7-7 on the season and put their playoff hopes in danger with 3 games remaining.
Had Stevenson or Meyers gone down, the game would have gone to overtime.

Meyers, the Patriots’ top wide receiver, missed Monday night’s game in Arizona after he suffered a concussion in the fourth quarter against the Bills, but cleared protocol to face off against the Raiders. His availability was in question leading up to the game.
