Jayden Daniels has taken the NFL by storm with the former Heisman Trophy winner and LSU star capturing the league’s Rookie of the Year honor last season. Now, he’s got his sights set on even bigger things in his sophomore season.

Entering the season, Daniels has the 5th-lowest odds at bet365 to take home the MVP award this fall. Baltimore Ravens QB Lamar Jackson is the preseason favorite at +500, while Daniels checks in at +850. Only the trio of Buffalo Bills QB Josh Allen, Cincinnati Bengals QB Joe Burrow and Kansas City Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes check in better than Daniels at +600, and fans can grab the bet365 promo code to take advantage of those odds.

While Daniels is not the favorite, ESPN’s Louis Riddick certainly believes the former Tiger has all he needs to put together a push for the honor. Here’s what Riddick had to say about the possibility of Daniels winning the MVP in just his 2nd season during an appearance on Get Up:

“I would tell you that it could very well happen. There’s a good shot that may happen,” said Riddick. “This guy is unique. We talk about unicorns all the time, this guy’s a unicorn in terms of his football character, how mature he is.

“I watched him the other day hold a media session, and I’m going ‘Has this guy played in the league 4 or 5 years?’ He’s the unquestioned leader… He is without a doubt the head of the snake there, and I don’t see him taking a step back at all. Don’t mess with Terry McLaurin. Get (Daniels’s) guy in there to a contract.”

Last season, Daniels was on fire with over 4,400 yards of offense and 31 total touchdowns, even finishing 7th in the MVP voting as a rookie. To Riddick’s point, the biggest question mark for the QB might be Washington’s handling of star wide receiver Terry McLaurin, who has been in search of a new contract this offseason.

If Daniels gets all his pieces back, the sky is the limit in 2025.
