If the New York Giants offense is going to have any success this season under new coach Brian Daboll, it needs wide receiver Kadarius Toney to become an impact player.
The former Florida Gators standout had 70 catches for 984 yards and 10 touchdown at senior in 2020. He was drafted with the 20th overall pick in the first round of the 2021 NFL Draft, but failed to get much going in his rookie season.
Toney, however, put on a show at training camp Wednesday and showed signs of the talent that made him a first-team All-SEC selection and second-team All American.

Toney was the subject of some trade rumors with the Giants earlier this offseason.
Last season, he appeared in 10 games (4 starts) and made 39 catches for 420 yards. The high point of Toney’s 2021 season came in Week 5 against the Dallas Cowboys when he broke Odell Beckham Jr.’s Giants rookie record with a 10-catch, 189-yard performance. Toney, though, was tossed from that same game for throwing a punch at Cowboys safety Damontae Kazee during the 44-20 loss.
Toney made the impressive grab over Aaron Robinson, who originally committed to Florida during the 2016 recruiting cycle, but flipped to Alabama and eventually signed with the Crimson Tide. Robinson finished his college career at UCF.
Robinson would transfer out of Alabama despite playing in 13 games as a true freshman. He ended up at UCF where he was an All-AAC performer and third-round draft pick (71st overall) in 2021.
