The Los Angeles Rams defeated the Los Angeles Chargers on Saturday night. Considering it’s just a preseason game, it appears the social media team may have been more excited than the players and coaches.

Rams social media not-so-subtly took aim at Chargers coach Jim Harbaugh. Roughly 24 hours after the NCAA ruling in the Michigan sign-stealing scandal that occurred under Harbaugh, the Rams posted a photo of their mascot holding a sign with “Hail to the Victors,” from U-M fight song “The Victors.” The post was captioned “sign-ing off.”

Harbaugh is in his second NFL head coaching stint. He coached the San Francisco 49ers from 2011-14 before becoming the head coach at Michigan, his alma mater, in 2015. After leading the Wolverines to the 2023 national championship, Harbaugh took the Chargers head coaching job ahead of the 2024 season.

Football fans can expect Harbaugh to stay in the NFL for as long as he keeps coaching. Harbaugh will be under NCAA show-cause orders until Aug. 7, 2038. He was already under a 4-year show-cause before receiving a new 10-year show-cause for sign-stealing, which begins in 2028. Harbaugh will be 74 when his NCAA show-cause orders are up.
