Russell Wilson has perfect response to Eli Manning’s ‘ManningCast’ comments from Monday

Russell Wilson and the Denver Broncos are 2-1 after an 11-10 win over the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday. Wilson attempted 33 passes and completed 20 of them, but for just 184 yards while throwing no touchdowns.
The lack of offense meant that Broncos punter Corliss Waitman had a busy game, punting the ball 10 times while putting 6 of those punts inside the 20-yard line. He ended up being named the AFC Special Teams Player of the Week after his performance, with his workload prompting a humorous quip from Eli Manning during Monday night’s “ManningCast”.
“They should have paid that punter $235 million instead of Russell,” the 2-time Super Bowl winner and former Ole Miss quarterback said.
Well, Wilson had a response of his own ready when he was asked about Manning’s comments on Wednesday.
“What, Chad Powers?” he smiled. “I’m 3-0 against Chad Powers, you know.”
Ouch. That, of course, is referring to Manning’s “Chad Powers” character he created while trying out as a walk-on for Penn State during his ESPN+ series “Eli’s Places”. And Wilson’s games for the Seattle Seahawks against Manning and his Giants weren’t really close: Seattle won 23-0 in 2013 at MetLife Stadium, 38-17 the next year at home, and 24-7 in 2017 back in New Jersey.
It’s safe to say that Wilson’s won this round.
