Russell Wilson and Malik Nabers may turn out to be one of the quarterback-wide receiver tandems in the NFL.

Wilson had already found Nabers in the 2nd quarter, throwing a ball 29 yards to the end zone that Nabers grabbed in acrobatic fashion to help the New York Giants stretch their lead over the Dallas Cowboys. Here’s video from FOX:

But Wilson and Nabers topped themselves in the 4th quarter. With less than 30 seconds to go in regulation, Wilson launched one toward the end zone that Nabers somehow pulled in despite heavy defensive pressure to give the Giants a 4th-quarter lead;

Naturally, it went to overtime as Brandon Aubrey calmly knocked a 64-yard field goal through the uprights as time expired.

Wilson’s numbers: 27-of-36, 433 yards, 3 touchdowns, 0 interceptions. It was a throwback performance for the Super Bowl XLVIII winner and 10-time Pro Bowler.

Nabers’ stat line in regulation: 7 catches, 146 yards, 2 touchdowns. The No. 6 overall pick in 2024 certainly got his share of the ball as a rookie, but expressed his frustration with his role as he felt he deserved more touches. With Wilson in the fold, we’ll see if he’ll get his wish.
