Saquon Barkley joined the Philadelphia Eagles last year, and put together a phenomenal season. He rushed for 2,005 yards and 13 touchdowns, while also being named the Offensive Player of the Year last season. His success helped the Eagles go and win the Super Bowl, as they ended the Kansas City Chiefs quest for a 3-peat.
As the Eagles prepare for their own defense, the opposing players in the NFL recognized Barkley’s greatness as they made him the No. 1 player on the NFL’s Top 100 players list for 2025.
Barkley became a household name during his time at Penn State, as he played for James Franklin from 2015-2017. In those three seasons, he finished with 3,843 rushing yards and 43 touchdowns. He also had another 1,195 receiving yards and eight more touchdowns.
He was drafted No. 2 by the New York Giants in the 2018 NFL Draft. He put up great numbers during his time in New York, but the team was unable to sustain a ton of success. The Giants made the decision to not resign him, and their division rival Eagles decided to bring him and the rest is history.
The Eagles open the season on Thursday, when they host the Dallas Cowboys in the first game of the 2025 NFL regular season.
