Trikweze Bridges was a 7th-round pick by the Los Angeles Chargers in 2025 before being waived just before the start of the season. He’s now found a home with the Dallas Cowboys, who are in Denver for a Week 8 game against the Broncos.
And on the Broncos’ opening drive, Bridges came up with his first career interception. He tumbled to the ground to get his hands on a pass by Bo Nix on Denver’s third play from scrimmage.
Here’s the video of the Bridges pick:
Bridges, an Alabama native, signed with Oregon out of the class of 2019. After redshirting as a true freshman, he played in 6 games in 2020, recording 2 tackles.
In 2021, Bridges appeared in every game for the Ducks, finishing with 26 tackles and an interception. He upped that total to 49 tackles and 3 INTs in 2022. His production and playing time decreased in 2023 as he made 16 tackles in 13 games.
After five years at Oregon, Bridges entered the transfer portal, joining Florida for the 2024 season. His lone season with the Gators was his best in the college ranks as he made 70 tackles and picked off a pair of passes.
